Alamo Drafthouse Presents ‘Die Hard’ 30th Anniversary on a Rooftop: August 9th in Downtown LA

Join Alamo Drafthouse at The Bloc on Thursday, August 9th to celebrate the 30th anniversary of DIE HARD. Don’t miss the final Skyline Sound + Cinema screening of the Summer!

Where better to watch John McClane jump off the roof of a Los Angeles high-rise than, well, the roof of a Los Angeles high-rise? Yippee-ki-yay, Mister Falcon! Watch the most explosive edition of Skyline Sound + Cinema yet on the top of The Bloc, as Alamo Drafthouse presents a spectacular screening of DIE HARD!

Plus, Alex Winston, an LA-based artist who moonlights as lead singer in Post Precious, is performing live before the screening, brought to you by ALT 98.7.

The film that taught us an air duct can totally support Bruce Willis’ weight, that guys named Ellis ruin everything, and that the late Alan Rickman was a minor deity, DIE HARD is the perfect film for a rooftop screening under the stars. We can’t guarantee any smarmy Germans will interrupt the evening, but we WILL see you barefoot and bleeding (not literally, of course) at The Bloc for the greatest screening of DIE HARD ever.
