Los Angeles, CA — Dattner Dispoto and Associates (DDA) cinematographer Neville Kidd has won the 2014 Emmy Award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Miniseries or Movie. Kidd received his Emmy for the PBS Masterpiece miniseries Sherlock.
“Being nominated for Sherlock was mind blowing,” says Kidd. “Finding new ways to shoot one of the best looking shows on TV is what I loved about filming ‘His Last Vow.’”
“It feels phenomenal to have won an Emmy for the show,” he says.
“Neville’s photography on this episode is particularly inventive,” says his agent Danica Pupa. “There are sequences where we get to see Sherlock’s mind at work. Neville’s combination of techniques creates a hallucinatory effect that is a real visual hallmark for the show.”
Kidd is currently shooting the highly anticipated series Outlander, based on Diana Gabaldon’s bestseller for producer Ron Moore at Starz, which premiered Aug. 9.
DDA congratulates Neville on his achievement.
